Nicolas Berdou

Director – Bpifrance Investissement Representative

Ingénieur en chef de l’armement, Nicolas Berdou spent the first part of his career at the Direction Générale de l’Armement in technical, supervisory and management positions in aeronautical programs (Rafale fighter aircraft).

Nicolas joined Bpifrance in 2017 at the creation of the Definvest fund subscribed by the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and managed by Bpifrance, joined in 2021 by the Defense Innovation Fund. In addition to his experience in the defense sector, Nicolas is a venture capitalist specializing in deeptech companies. In this capacity, he is a member of the board of directors of a dozen companies in the Bpifrance portfolio, including Pasqal, Unseenlabs, Exotrail, Preligens and Cailabs.

Nicolas Berdou holds an engineering degree from the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace in Toulouse
